This suburban neighbourhood gem is a sanctuary for soulful, protein-fuelled meals: Comfort food rarely gets more soothing than the braised pork belly, lusciously layered, rounded out with steamed rice and a soft, 63-degree egg, plus a genuinely good vegetable soup that's thick and sweet with tomatoes and carrots (RM22.90).
Charcoal-grilled meat counts among the highlights, headlined by the chicken chop, its smoky, sultry succulence balanced by house-made avocado puree for a twist on typical chicken chops (RM32). The rib-eye steak is fair for its price (200 grams for RM38), but the star of the plate might be the bounty of market-fresh vegetables heaped beneath the beef.
