Indonesia’s Tanamera coffee roastery marks a Malaysian milestone this month, launching its first cafe in KL, a decade after its birth in the emerald of the equator.
Tanamera Coffee Malaysia is now open at Arcoris Mont Kiara, with a similar menu as Tanamera in Indonesia and Singapore.
This winningly sleek crimson-coloured space is set amid Arcoris’ leafy serenity; a preserved botanical showcase on the mezzanine represents the Southeast Asian region’s tropical forests.
Tanamera’s cold brew crew is all here - beat the Monday blues with the mellow Cold White Coconut, relying on Indonesian beans for a soothing smoothness, dripped for 24 hours before being double filtered.
For pour-overs, sip on the Bali Kintamani, balancing citrusy acidity with complex notes of roasted nuts and palm sugar with a clean aftertaste.
For food, Tanamera’s highlights comprise classic Indonesian crowd-pleasers, such as risoles and tahu tempeh, though those were not yet available when we visited.
Tanamera is expected to embark into Merdeka 118 for its second Malaysian outlet next year.
