The Luxurious A La Carte Buffet is the top tier that comprises the most coveted produce, featuring the freshest seafood mainly flown in from Japan.

This buffet showcases a full platter of scampi sashimi (full-bodied and fleshy like lobster, bouncier and sweeter than regular prawns), botan ebi, hotate, ootoro, Japanese oysters with ikura, uni, and the finest Imperial Cristal Caviar, silky-smooth and delicately briny.

It's a spectacularly memorable platter, impossible to find at any other KL Japanese buffet.

Bonus stop: While wandering through LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, we also made a pitstop at Tan Ngan Lo, near Hut Sake Bar, for a refreshingly wholesome interlude.

We're instant fans of Tan Ngan Lo's Herbal Jelly (RM11.50 for 250g, RM15.50 for 400g), its bitter-earthy taste mellowed with honey for a reviving chilled favourite.

For beverages, select from Tan Ngan Lo's Five Flowers Tea, mellow and aromatic, the ideal introduction (RM5 hot; RM6 cold), Tan Ngan Lo Chrysanthemum Herbal Jelly Tea, blending the mildly sweet floral notes of chrysanthemum with herbal nuances (RM8.90), and Tan Ngan Lo Herbal Tea, concentrated with an uplifting, minty-soothing taste (RM5 hot, RM6 cold).
