With inspirations that span Marseille to Manchester to Mexico City, Moto is Setia Alam’s elegant new restaurant mainly for European classics.

Moto’s take on French bouillabaisse is a briny beauty, brimming with seasonal fish such as snapper, rounded out with shellfish, squid, potatoes and sourdough baguette slices. The broth, thick and intensely rich, is built with the bones of sashimi-grade fish from Moto’s Japanese sister restaurants.

While the menu focuses on British beer-battered fish and chips, Italian pastas, Spanish tapas and Nordic-inspired salmon gravlax, it makes a delicate detour for the Mexican-Japanese synergy of Hokkaido scallops aguachile-style, their smooth subtleties enlivened by the sharp vibrancy of coriander, cucumber and lemon juice.
