Flam's @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

Yummy Italian fare, a cosy setting, solid service. Can't ask for much more.

Sliced raw beef tenderloin carpaccio with avocado, asparagus and grated parmesan. Take some of the avocado & asparagus, roll it in inside the beef, then pop it all in for the perfect mouthful of instant gratification.

Sorrentina-style potato gnocchi in tomato sauce with basil, oregano and fresh mozzarella. Recommended if you like soft, melt-in-the-mouth gnocchi. Not bad, but might have been better if the sauce was slightly sweeter and less sour.

Deep-fried basil ice cream with strawberry tartar. The ice cream was kinda bland and the batter was reminiscent of soggy goreng pisang.

Warm chocolate cake with coconut sherbet. The taste and texture of the cake were excellent, though the temperature could have been warmer (maybe we spent a bit too long taking photos of this?). The coconut sherbet was a cool change from the usual vanilla ice cream that accompanies this.

Lychee Mojito and Cabernet Sauvignon San Medin (Chile).
