New in Petaling Jaya, Yim Yam is now offering its signature kway chap and other Thai favourites for pick-up and delivery, with dine-in services to start by mid-January.
The Thai Kway Chap Special with Innards is a recipe fine-tuned by a Malaysian with a partial Thai family heritage - it's soulful and slurp-worthy, swimming in pork bone broth that's slow-cooked overnight with Thai-sourced herbs, rich with a sweet umami but not cloying, with firm, flat rice flour noodles blanketed in pork ribs, roast belly, meatballs, liver, blood cubes, crispy lard and hard-boiled egg, all fabulously fresh and clean-tasting. Great for gloomy days.
Also available are somtam, Thai pork and chicken sate, pad krapow and more. Yim Yam's interior is still a work in progress, with final touch-ups expected next month, but it looks lovely already, with a retro, rustic wood-toned earthiness.
