The secret is out on the streets: TTDI's new sandwich central, Ms Faye's Secret, reveals itself to be more than a bread-and-buns stall, offering meat and seafood stuffed in everything from bagels to brioche, doughnuts to croissants and pita wraps.
Food is freshly cooked to order at this spot, which currently opens during the daytime, Mondays to Saturdays, across the road from CIMB Bank. All meals come with a bag of crisps and a drink of the day, like refreshing lychee iced tea.
The Kambing Bagel (RM15) features mutton saturated with sauces and herbs, a medley of mustard, mayo, cheese, yoghurt, rosemary and thyme for plenty of punch, held together in a firm bagel with a bite, resulting in a filling meal with a full-bodied, full-flavoured chew.
The Shrimp Brioche (RM12) is the seafood recommendation, with the shrimp buoyed by Japanese-inspired miso-sweet teriyaki sauce, neatly packed into buttery, soft fluffiness.
