Mikey's New York Pizza: Chizza What? Chizza Who?

From a Rainbow Pizza with a base of many colours, crowned with puffy clouds of ricotta cheese, to a Devi's Tandoori Pizza topped with clay-oven-roasted chicken sourced from Bangsar's favourite corner restaurant, Mikey's New York Pizza regularly introduces limited-time-only specials worth watching out for.

Its latest, available now through the end of January 2018, could be its cheekiest yet - Chizza What? Chizza Who? is the ultimate treat for folks who love both pizza and fried chicken; it may very well be the most satisfying combination of both that KL has tasted in recent memory.

Each 18-inch pizza is staggeringly blanketed with nearly a full kilogram of panko-crusted chunks of chicken, thick and tender with a crisp, light crumb. Each mouthful comprises substantial bites of chicken, well-proportioned with mozzarella cheese and house-made marinara sauce for a fully rounded experience, slathered over 24-hour cold-fermented dough with a convincing flavour of its own. It all works very well together, more than tasty and textured enough to make the entire family pretty happy. The pizza is a belly-busting meal for four to six people.

We had our pizza sent to our doorstep, using Mikey's delivery service for the first time, and were impressed by the ease and efficiency, and by how the pizza reached us completely warm and fresh.

Mikey's now has three outposts in Bangsar, Mid Valley and Mont Kiara, but Petaling Jaya's pizza devotees can soon celebrate - by the end of December 2017, the next branch is poised to open in Citta Mall.
