Spectacular culinary fireworks of classic Malaysian and Thai flavours will brighten every night at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur this Ramadan, spotlighting sumptuous Southeast Asian specialities throughout the fasting month.

The Ramadan dinner buffet is spearheaded by two experienced veterans - Malaysian chef Mohamad Yusoff will showcase a rotating menu of Selera Kampung Asli, while his Thai counterpart Nopporn Nutto introduces the temptations of his homeland in Bangkok Noi.

From Malaysian Masak Lemak Udang Harimau to Thai Steamed Red Snapper with Lime & Garlic, Daging Rendang Tok to Massaman Beef with Potatoes, fans of Malaysian and Thai fare can experience the best of both countries in one sumptuous buffet!

The Gabungan Duo Rasa ala Kampung & Thai Nightly Buffet is available from 23 March to 21 April 2023. It's priced at RM178 nett per person, with 50% off for children between 6 to 12 years old. On 23-26 March and 20-21 April, enjoy the buffet at RM142 nett per person.

The colourful spread promises a true taste of tradition. The rotation of local recipes served throughout the month include Sup Tulang Rusuk, Sup Ekor, Laksa Johor, Ayam Masak Merah, Ayam Percik Kelantan, Kambing Masak Hitam Manis, Daging Rendang Minang, Ikan Tenggiri Berlado, Kari Kepala Ikan Merah Bendi and Gulai Tunjang Minangkabau.

Starters and kerabu to whet the appetite comprise popular perennials like Tauhu Sumbat Isi Ayam, Kerabu Kacang Buncis dan Kerang, Kerabu Pucuk Paku bersama Ikan Bilis, Kerabu Telur Goreng, Acar Limau and Acar Jelatah.

Born and raised in Bangkok, chef Nopporn Nutto has curated a captivating selection that starts with salads and soups like Red Tom Yam Chicken Soup, Grilled Thai Beef Salad, Thai Glass Noodle Salad with Seafood, Spicy Minced Chicken Salad and Mango Salad with Peanuts.

For mains, indulge to your heart's content in Thai Noodle Soup, Deep-fried Squid with Garlic and Pepper, Sauteed Shrimp with Basil, Chicken Panang with Lime Leaves and Peanuts, Vegetable Hot and Sour Curry, and other fragrantly robust treats. Sweet satisfaction comes in the form of taro balls in coconut milk, red rubies with jackfruit, and much, much more.

The buffet also spans Melting Pot signatures like Satay, Bubur Lambuk, Aneka Ikan Bakar, Otak-Otak, Murtabak Ayam and Vietnamese Beef Noodles, plus a section of Seafood on Ice that comprises Poached Tiger Prawns, Pink Scallops On Shell, Oysters, Poached Black Mussels and Half Green Mussels.

The crowd favourite of Teppanyaki is a hit too, with succulent choices of beef, chicken and prawns, complete with a teriyaki and butter sauce that’s rich and creamy, nicely washed down with Thai Tea Cincau, Thai Green Tea, Bandung Soda and other Asian thirst-quenchers.
