NOTA Cafe is not a bad cafe, offering thoughtful produce that's mindfully prepared, served with heart in a soothing space that'll soon be a neighbourhood favourite.
Start with open sandwiches, on a choice of sourdough, country bread or lightly savoury Parmesan toast. The three-day-cured salmon is a smash, lusciously smooth, firm-textured but delicate-tasting, layered with avocado and a briny ocean's duet of bottarga and tobiko (RM28), while the buffalo cheese puts a tartine twist on the classic Caprese salad, channelling the can't-fail combo of mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes (RM25).
If you're ravenous, try the Rotisserie, showcasing a succulent chicken leg with smoked chicken, house-made bratwurst-inspired chicken sausage, Swiss Brown mushrooms, poached eggs and nori jus, rounded out on tender rosti for a very tasty lunch (RM32).
Beverages prove wholesomely quenching, spanning one-week-fermented kombucha that harnesses local ingredients (RM16), beetroot lemonade (RM13) and sugarcane lime (RM9).
