House-smoked salmon gravadlax. As good as this recipe gets; the fish was juicy and had a lovely smoky taste in every bite.
Caesar salad with pesto-marinated slipper lobster, beef strips, pine nuts & parmesan wafers. The plump crustaceans added a terrific meatiness to a perfectly prepared salad.
Roasted pumpkin with wild rocket leaves, feta cheese, balsamic reduction and toasted pumpkin seeds. Healthy and delicious _ an unbeatable combo, right?
Spaghetti with smoked mullet roe, eggplant, coriander, chili & scallop chips. Not quite successful; the Bottarga was extremely salty, overpowering everything else on the plate.
The house-smoked salmon gravadlax looks to die for, now if could only bring myself to fight the jam this wkd to get here!
ReplyDeleteIt's been ages since I visited The C.Club. My outdated post on my blog still gets loads of hits. Maybe it's time to revisit as a service to those poor unsuspecting readers. Hehe. Funnily enough, I'm attracted to those salads. Eh, how come you never order salads whenever we go out ar?
ReplyDeleteciki: weekends are ideal, since the traffic into the city won't be too bad compared to the weekdays! though the jam inside pavilion's parking lot might be worse :D
ReplyDeletelemongrass: the menu hasn't changed much since they opened, though there are a few newer items worth inspecting. but i do order salads with u! in fact, our most recent meal included a salad comprising avocado, egg, tomatoes, beans and crispy corn tortilla :D
If i'm ever in the area of BB, I'm makin a beeline for Giovino! Nothin gonna distract me frm that one ;p
ReplyDeletetng: i hope u get your opportunity very soon! =)
ReplyDeletethey are still having the Domaine Romanee Conti that I wanted with a price tag of RM19k!!!
ReplyDeleteeiling: yikes! that's pricier than everything on the menu combined! :D
