G.SIX @ The Gardens Mid Valley

Nestled on the same floor as Sage, G.SIX brings a semblance of nightlife to Mid Valley.

It's a sleek, inviting space, with a playlist that seems dominated by '90s music.

The menu is limited, but the food is well-prepared (though it takes ages to arrive). The sugarcane prawns were fresh, sweet, meaty and perfectly paired with the Thai mayo.

Crumbed scallops with wasabi mayo dip. Seemed more like fishcakes than scallops, but still a crisp, piping-hot pleasure.

Deep-fried camembert cheese with raspberry sauce. Absolutely addictive.

Otak-otak spring rolls. Kinda bland, lacking the flavour punch that you get with the best types of otak-otak. Still, more than good enough for finger food.

Bacardi Daiquiri (bacardi limon, lime, sugar) & Apple Martini (apple rum, lime press).

G.SIX Club,
The Gardens.

  4. G.Six? Somehow has the tones of G-Force to me, several decades removed. Ah, you are so happening lah brader... I feel like an old uncle compared to you, sweet young thing gallivanting all over Kay-El makan ni, makan tu.

Here's to us living dangerously and luxuriously through your posts! :D

  13. Beware of G-six!!! DO NOT trust their waiters or staff of G-six when they tell you that they can hold your drinks and table. They lie. My friends and I went to G-six last week and we asked their staff what is the policy if we wanted to go to the club next door to see their band. The staff/supervisor (fat chinese guy wearing spectacle and suit) told us that we can leave our bottle of vodka (three quarter full) and he will keep it for us and to keep our table too. He also ASSURED us that he recognizes our faces and will definitely hold our bottle and table for us. Feeling assured, we went to see the band performing at GardenSFX. When we went back to GSix, our bottle of vodka was missing. We approached the same guy from Gsix but were told that he do not know what happened to our bottle of vodka saying that we went away too long, he can’t take care of our bottle and do not know who took our bottle of vodka. It was dishonest of Gsix staff to tell the customer that they can hold our bottle and allow our bottle went missing. The boss of Gsix also refused to compensate us for the missing bottle of vodka. So my advice to all is DO NOT TRUST Gsix if they tell you they can hold your drinks or any bottles of alcohol. They use that tactic to CHEAT the customers!
