Manyflow HQ, Klang

Launching this weekend, Manyflow HQ is the architecturally ambitious new flagship of Klang’s prolific family of cafes that spans Moka to Mykro, Maple to Manual, Medium to Midoree, Mofika to Morigin.

Manyflow HQ thoughtfully ties in the cafes’ recurring themes: Sculptures and shelves, slats and shrubs, books and botanicals, ceramics and curves, terracotta and textiles, woven through a warm palette of burnt sienna and honeyed mahogany. Garden landscapes bring a living layer of nature into the calm.

Bald & Curly Nyonya, Ara Damansara

Ara Damansara’s new Bald & Curly Nyonya honours the honest flavours of family cooking, a nostalgic tribute to the recipes of its founder’s mother.

Try the Peranakan-Kristang crossover of Curry Devil Chicken, bridging the tangy traditions of Kristang cuisine with classic Nyonya comforts in Dudu Yummy kopitiam.

Smoothly tender chicken, torched to order, comes with curry richly spiced with candlenuts and mustard seeds, acar, jiu hu char, punchy sambal and butterfly pea rice for plenty of colour. A labour of love, painstakingly prepared fresh in the morning before sunrise.
