Splash @ The Westin Kuala Lumpur

Poolside dining can prove hazardous if it suddenly starts raining, but Splash offers a comfortable interior for customers to escape a downpour.

Lamb burger with feta cheese, muhammara chilli relish, arugula & sumac. Borrowing Middle Eastern influences, this was hearty enough to satisfy large appetites, even though the patty was a bit too gamy for our liking.

Seven-ounce beef burger with pastrami & gruyere cheese, accompanied by hummus & potato puree. Comfort food with creamy textures. One of KL's better beef burgers.

Pretty decent cocktails: White Freeze (kahlua, creme de cacao, banana, milk) & Bloody Freeze (vodka, tomato juice, celery).

  1. Splash!
Yes yes, I read some comments on fried chillies abt the good burgers here!
Can use Starwood card here? So is the burgers as good as they say?
    Better than Skewers? Daily Grind?

  2. rebecca: oh yeah, the card offers the full discounts here. the variety of burgers is not very wide (only four or five types), but you can customize the toppings, with different kinds of cheese and dressing. i'd say that if u're in downtown kl, then try the burgers here, but if u're in bangsar or subang, then the daily grind and skewers are good enough :D

  5. augustdiners: oh i lurrrrrve creamy cocktails! the milkier the better! though sometimes it also depends on what we're eating, since fruity cocktails go better with food that's already too rich...
qwazymonkey: ya, it's nice to revisit these places from time to time, especially when the food is still good after all these years! :D

  9. leo: currently prego is my favorite outlet at the westin! i think u can probably skip splash, unless u want a poolside environment for your family. the food here is mainly only sandwiches, burgers and snacks...

  10. One of KL's better beef burgers? Kewl. And in terms of pricing? I suppose after the 50% discount on the card, it will also be highly affordable, eh? I like the fact that you can assemble it according to your taste.
