Maria's @ Damansara Perdana

One of Damansara Perdana's loveliest outlets. Rather quiet in the evenings.

There's a soothing, feel-right-at-home look here. The warm service helps too.

Food choices run the gamut from cheap pies to costly Kobe beef. On a crazy whim, we checked out both ends of the spectrum.

The chicken pie was fairly satisfying. Filled with juicy meat and veggies.

The Kobe beef was super-tender and tasted wondrously fatty. But we'll stick to regular beef next time; this has to be a once-in-a-blue-moon splurge.

Metropolitan Square, Damansara Perdana.

  1. There's something about Maria's, I couldn't quite put my finger on it when we poked our heads in the other night... I think it might be its brazen inconsistency in concept... you know, homely yet they have Kobe alongside a humble pie. Will check it out!

  2. yeah..was telling 550ml to try it out. Maria serves pretty decent stuff. but i had it eons ago, hope they maintained the std..

  3. 550ml: the concept seems to be basic western fare that appeals to most malaysians ... pastas, pies, steak, seafood ...
nomad: the location upstairs seems to be the main drawback. it's not as accessible as the outlets downstairs...
