Il Padrino

Il Padrino means The Godfather in Italian. To emphasize that point, the menu here is filled with quotes from the Godfather film trilogy, while the walls are adorned with portraits of Marlon Brando, the star of the first movie.

It's a sleek but relaxed restaurant, with friendly service and wide selections. By the way, the kitchen crew deserves praise for dishing out the food very quickly.

Pastas and pizzas are the highlights. We tried a few of the more interesting pasta choices, all of which proved to be tasty comfort food. Not exceptional, but competently executed.

Cold cut selection of parma ham, coppa, mortadella, speck and salami.

A hearty helping of potato gnocchi with walnuts in a four-cheese sauce.

Spinach and ricotta cheese ravioli with butter sage sauce and parmesan.

Squid ink seafood tortellini with creamy saffron sauce.

Risotto with pancetta, mixed vegetables and saffron.
