That Last Slice is an online cake supplier whose confections are currently available at the poolside cafe of Terrace @ Hock Choon.

Their Red Velvet is as satisfying as any version elsewhere. Moist and creamy.

Also liked the chocolate cake, which was rich, fudgy and fresh-tasting.

ROFL...

Oh wait..how abt "Rise to the Occasion" ?? LOL. Hmm..this is gettin the ball rolling here... ;p
ReplyDelete(tagged: corny names for your start-up)!
I'm growing to love Terrace. All my dining experiences there have been good, and it looks like I have another reason to visit this place now.
ReplyDeleteIt's two last slices, sir.
tng: the last crumb! the cookie crumbles! but ya, it's fun when these businesses try to come up with cool, catchy names =)
ReplyDeletelemongrass: apparently that last slice serves a mean carrot cake too, but it wasn't available on the night i was there...
Nobody touch the last slice of cake. It's mine!! All MINE!
ReplyDeleteAnd I ain't sharing it... unless it sucks. Then it's all yours :P
qwazymonkey: haha, rest assured, the cakes here are good. hey, but wait, u guys are already enjoying great cakes from fbb, so there's no need to look for cakes anywhere else :D
ReplyDeleteooh the cake looks nice and I'm on a diet! :(
ReplyDelete*rebuked and malu-ed*
ReplyDeleteOkay, okay, I'll share, I'll share... Just a bit right? You don't eat all that much, do you? :P
eiling: hmmm, u can reward yourself with the cake once the diet is over! :D
ReplyDeletelfb: gobble gobble. they don't call me the turkey tyke for nothing :P
Oh u mean there's a whole range of cakes? Wahhh!!
ReplyDeleteNow i'm happy!
Got many plcs for good cakes. I'm stil on the prowl for good breads (but Levain is filing in on that gapping hole for now ;) )
tng: ya, but the tricky thing is that only two or three varieties are available each time, so it kinda depends on luck :D
ReplyDeleteHmm, remind me to check if they are serving you for Thanksgiving then. *guffaws*
ReplyDeletelfb: bleh, that's my superhero name lah, so it shouldn't be taken TOO literally. :P
ReplyDeleteThat's YOUR superhero name? Wow, you can certainly challenge Kick-Ass (just watched the movie semalam and it rocks, lousy reviews be damned) in the names department. :P
ReplyDeleteI wonder what mine would be? The Commentator? :P
lfb: the commentator is no superhero name ... u wouldn't be able to strike fear into the hearts of villains that way. how about wunderkind, the wizard of wordplay? :P
ReplyDeleteI don't need to strike fear into hearts of villains, just hapless food bloggers. :P
ReplyDeleteHow about The Crazed Commentator? I have always found an adjective to be helpful, heh heh.
lfb: aren't food bloggers fearless, cos we'd eat anything? ok, maybe there are some wimpy ones ... *cough* lyricallemongrass *cough*
ReplyDeletewhy stop at just one adjective? the crazed, cuddly, carnal commentator? :P
Cuddly? Are you calling me fat? First comparing me with The Blob, and now this? *weeps furiously*
ReplyDeleteDiet. Starts. NOW.
lfb: enjoy the tofu, oats and carrots! perhaps in a few months, u too will have a 28-inch waist like me, ahem :D
ReplyDeleteGa. Ga. Hates you. My waist is not far off from yours actually... just add another 10 inches... :(
ReplyDeletelfb: actually my days of having a 28-inch waist are definitely gone. nowadays, my slacks size is only 3 inches less than my age (do the math yourself).
ReplyDeleteBut. I donch know your age. 3 inches less... What are you, 25? :)
ReplyDeletelfb: i'm one year, two months and 11 days younger than dicaprio :P
ReplyDeleteAh, that DiCaprio. He's practically a baby. He only got his whiskers, what, three years ago? :P
ReplyDeletelfb: yay, that means i'm practically an embryo in your eyes! :D
ReplyDeleteEmbryo? Eeks. For some reason that reminded me of the Filipino balut/duck-embryo-in-egg dish. :P
ReplyDeletelfb: well, you are what you eat. which explains why there's something fishy about you? :D
ReplyDeleteMe? I'm A-grade tuna, I tell you. :P
ReplyDeletei think the last slice owner is related to the daily grind owner...
ReplyDeletelfb: now however did u escape unscathed from the tsukiji market? :D
ReplyDeletefbb: oops, but i don't actually know who the owner of daily grind is =)
