This memorably named watering hole is a worthwhile addition to Kota Damansara's increasingly bustling Sunway Giza mall.
Customers can guzzle booze on the ground floor, which gets pretty packed at night...
... or hide away on the top floor, dubbed "The Attic," which is a bit cozier but not exactly calm (blame it on the booming music that afflicts both levels).
Erdinger Weissbier & Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel draught beers.
Long Island Iced Tea & Kamikaze cocktails.
House pouring wine. No complaints with the offerings; everything is reasonably priced and definitely drinkable. Bar snacks are available as well.
The Beer Factory,
Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara.
Aww, you mean they don't actually brew their own beer? But. It's. A. Beer. Factory. :(
ReplyDeleteLooks cosy though, should be nice for an evening of chilling with close friends and, well, beer buddies.
Yeah... so many outlets mushrooming in Sunway Giza! So far I've only been to Hometown Cafe and Ichiban Boshi for food.. waiting for my next visit.
ReplyDeleteIf only the road leading into Kota Damansara isn't that congested.
a nice place to hang out after drinks. Do you know I had to refresh this page for 8times before I get to see the pics? I always have a problem viewing your blog...:(
ReplyDeleteI really like this place even though we were probably the oldest customers there! Erratic music choices. Looking at the clientele, R&B would fit in perfectly there.
ReplyDeletelfb: apparently only the big companies are licensed to brew beer in this country? not sure, cos i'm not really a beer lover (and neither are you, right!). actually, i'd take my close friends to somewhere more more intimate. and not surprisingly, i don't have beer buddies =)
ReplyDeleteleo: ya, though surprisingly, it's not THAT bad after 7-something. traffic is even worse in downtown kl :D
eiling: yikes ... unfortunately, i'm a total idiot when it comes to maintaining blogs/websites, so i dunno how to fix that. sorry!
lemongrass: r&b and beer? but i always associate rock & roll with beer! did elvis drink beer? if he didn't, then the rolling stones sure did! :D
gee another beer place? but i likey
ReplyDeletebabe_kl: i'm trying to learn to appreciate beer, though i can't say i like it just yet :D
ReplyDeleteBeer sucks ass, my friend, unless it's Bavarian beer - then it rocks! Me loves Weißbier especially! :D
ReplyDeleteLfb: yikes, that's one of the harshest descriptions I've ever heard for beer. I shudder to imagine how u must feel about toddy :D
ReplyDeleteToddy? Oh the things I can say about toddy... :P
ReplyDeletelfb: i can't tell if that means u regard toddy as manna from heaven or a witch's brew out of macbeth :P
ReplyDeleteHey, don't knock them witch's brew. Could be the closest thing to heavenly manna on earth. :P
ReplyDeletelfb: ingredients for witch's brew _ eye of newt, toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog. u're such an adventurous eater! :P
ReplyDeleteTranslation from Shakespearean English:
ReplyDelete1. Eye of newt = Longan
2. Toe of frog = Ginseng
3. Wool of bat = Black moss
4. Tongue of dog = Sea cucumber
It's just like Chinese New Year dinner, but with blardy angmoh lah. :P
lfb: many centuries ago, that recipe would still have gotten you burnt at the stake alongside joan of arc!
ReplyDeleteJoan of Arc. She knew good eatin', she did. ;)
ReplyDeletelfb: ah yes, i do recall her food blog fondly, "joan just eats." it was indisputably the best guide to taverns in eastern france. :D
ReplyDeleteI think this place is quite nice, ambience is there, drink selections aplenty, as usual prices for alcholics drinks, u cannot say anything... even though i know how much most aussie beers actually cost over there... =___=
ReplyDeletei like the beers i had... Erdinger Weissbier & Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel draught beers. something different... will go again, and i would pick this place over the "gazillion" pub/bar(s) in Sunway Giza... and it reminds me of Melbourne~!!!
jaycee: am not really a fan of beer, but am looking forward to returning here eventually to check out the food!
ReplyDeleteI like beer
ReplyDeletekaranthanus: heheh, then u'll like this place :D
