Giovino Restaurant @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

Click here for previous review of Giovino (February 4).

Tiropita (baked goat cheese in filo pastry). Tasted pretty mild, despite the use of goat cheese. Well worth ordering for lovers of light, crisp pastries.

Pork belly in white wine. Way too chewy to recommend.

Whole seabass. A fresh, hearty fish with firm, meaty flesh. Very nicely grilled.

Tiramisu. Lacked an alcoholic kick, but still comfortingly creamy.

Creme brulee. Soft and sweet inside, with a lovely scent of vanilla.

Chardonnay Feudo Arancio 2007 (Sicilia).

Changkat Bukit Bintang.

  2. Were you the first patron here... again? Haha.. :)

  3. ciki: hurry!!! there's not a minute to lose... :D
lfb: uh-oh, my reputation precedes me =)

  4. Oh no... I've yet to try half of changkat and now one more new addition to the list!!!

  5. eiling: dun worry, i think this one might be the final new addition for some time!

  6. Seabass presentation/preparation looks similar to the one we had at the other outlet. Must be the italian style of preparation.

  7. lemongrass: come to think of it, that's the easiest way to cook a whole seabass, rite. especially since these guys wouldn't steam it or stir-fry it...
