Haven @ Ampang Hilir

Haven has replaced Earth Food at Ampang, but health-conscious customers shouldn't worry: this cafe's recipes remain reliant on free-range eggs, chemical-free fish & organic veggies.

We set our alarm for an early start to the weekend, reaching Haven safely at 9:30 a.m. for a sunshiny reward: fluffy, flavorsome French toast with rain forest honey & organic jam.

Breakfast is offered all day long, so sleepyheads can stroll in later and still have a hearty set of scrambled eggs, chicken chipolata sausages & portobello mushrooms.

Creamy and dreamy: honey yogurt parfait with fresh-cut fruits & organic muesli.

Caffeine lovers will be happy to hear that RAW Coffee runs a kiosk here, serving a marvelous macchiato with organic bon soy & a lovely latte (OK, the latte looks a little weird because we left it on the table for too long).
Earlier entry on RAW @ Wisma Equity: February 9, 2011.

Also available: Little Green Planet groceries, Bodybar beauty products, Organique Therapies spa treatments & Tiny Tapir baby products. Organic wine will be sold soon (wheeee!).
Earlier entry on Earth Food: January 17, 2011.

  1. They should serve Cumberland pork sausages with that breakfast... are they trying to be Halal here?

  2. Baby sumo: ya, if I recall correctly, all their meat is supposed to be halal, according to their menu. And I guess chicken sausages would generally seem healthier than pork sausages :D

  4. Michelle: heh, cannot! Cos that's pork! Though it would actually be interesting to have a non-halal organic health-food restaurant :D

  16. tng: ooo, i've only tried 'that last slice' cakes at the cafe at ampang's terrace at hock choon, but i remember enjoying them (i think there was a creamy chocolate and a red velvet). it'll be nice if they offer the cakes here too, since this place is open during tea time :D and yeah, i'd love to spend the day working here instead of my cold cubicle! this place is really roomy, comfy and cheerful, thanks partly to the very friendly service team :D
