TAFT: The Artisan Food Trail @ M City, Ampang

Make it spicy at TAFT, where the menu changes regularly, with recent tasty, tongue-tingling temptations like rice with fried quail, pickled petai, sambal belacan & cincaluk spiked with cili padi (the latter three come from condiment maker Dapur Sainer, whose founder Adilah Ahmad-Sainer co-owns TAFT) & squid ink pasta in varying levels of fieriness (not-so, quite, & very). Most dishes cost between RM20 & RM30; beat back the heat with a glass of Sacred Hill Cabernet Merlot or Oyster Bay Rose.

R-05-01, First Floor, M-CITY, 326, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Tues-Sun, 1130am-10pm. Tel: 03-2712-1398

  1. Where the menu changes regularly? Means they don't have a fixed menu and it depends on what they cook for the day?

    1. Contact.ewew: their menu seems to feature a lot of specials, which change pretty much every week. I think the rice with quail might not be on the current menu, though maybe the pasta is. basically you'll find a whole variety of rice platters and pastas here, but the actual ingredients might differ depending on the week ;)

  2. That platter sure looks intriguing, wouldn't mind giving that a try.
