Did a hostile takeover of Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa at Bangsar cause it to be renamed Nasi Lemak Tanglin? The mystery remains unsolved.
Thankfully, the nasi lemak here is scrumptious; the rice is served warm and moist, with hearty helpings of fresh, flavourful accompaniments.
Tender ayam masak merah & not-too-chewy paru goreng.
Sambal kerang (a bit too sweet) & fried egg (a bit too bland).
Sup tulang. Wasn't overly peppery or salty. The meat was surprisingly succulent.
Heya! what a coincidence, i juz had nasi lemak at seapark, pj. ehehe, in fact i think i was suppose to go to nasi lemak tanglin
ReplyDeleteI tried the original one. though it wasnt great, it was wayyyyyyyy better than Nasi Lemak antarabangsa!!!
ReplyDeleteand eh, cokodok pisang is my fav! Hw did they %^^*&^ that up??
Augustdiners: I've actually never been to the original
ReplyDeleteoutlet for nasi lemak tanglin. I actually do love nasi lemak, but I dun have any favorite places that serve it =)
Tng: ooh but there must be a reason why nasi lemak tanglin managed to gain fame, rite... anyway, I prefer goreng pisang, but my exposure to cekodok has been very limited, so I guess I haven't tried the really good ones :D
Well, there does seem to be many happy patrons sitting inside already... though crowds aren't necessary the best judge of food quality, as I've learned many times to my dismay... :P
ReplyDeletelfb: are u trying to trick me into agreeing that conformists have poor judgment? am not so easily fooled! :D
ReplyDeleteTrick you? Oh I wouldn't dream of it. :P
ReplyDeletelfb: good. because jedi mind games don't work on me :P
ReplyDeleteAww, you called me Jedi. So honoured. Now call me master. Er, I mean Jedi Master. :P
ReplyDeletelfb: u'll earn that right once i see u levitate a spaceship out of a swamp...
ReplyDeleteOh I can levitate other pointy, long objects but I wouldn't be as bold as to call it a spaceship... :P
ReplyDeletelfb: doesn't really count though if it plops back down in two seconds and u end up totally exhausted from that brief effort :P
ReplyDeleteTwo seconds? Try two times two hours and counting... ;)
ReplyDeletelfb: but unlike u, a true jedi master wouldn't have to rely on little blue pills to accomplish that :P
ReplyDeleteOnly the Force does Jedi use. :D
ReplyDeleteLfb: well, u're still a long way from Obi-wan kenobi's personal record of 10 hours, 24 mins :p
ReplyDeleteI shan't even ask how you know that. (Well, not directly anyway. Ahem.)
ReplyDeleteLfb: oh, ewan. *sighs*
ReplyDeleteEwan? I'd imagine you got stuck with Sir Alec Guinness instead... :P
ReplyDeletelfb: alec was reasonably dishy back in the day. actually, so were a lot of people. can u believe this was ian mckellan once: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ky9pdtMZfr1qa1iiqo1_500.jpg ... swoon! :D
ReplyDeleteThat was Gandalf? Wowsers.
ReplyDeletelfb: yep, which is why it's useful for u to have so many photos of yourself right now. in 50 years time, someone who only knows you at the retirement home might see those photos and say, "that was kenny? wowsers." :p
ReplyDeleteMost who see my pics from a mere 2 years ago are already saying, "That was Kenny? Wowsers."
ReplyDelete*sighs*
Lfb: perhaps they mean that as a compliment... and that u've done an ugly duckling-into-swan transformation in the past two years :D
ReplyDeleteyou have yet to try NasiLemak at Village Park Damansara utama :) maybe then you will have your favourite Nasi Lemak!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is, if you can get your @$$ up in the morning! Otherwise have your lunch there.. they are opened until afternoon (dinner) I guess
leo: heheh, u have a great memory! ya lor, village park is forever on my to-do list. maybe someday, they'll stay open till at least 9pm, and i can check it out then :D
ReplyDeleteSo they changed name? Or Tanglin ventured out to open franchises/branches as well?
ReplyDeletej2kfm: i guess this has to be a tanglin venture. though i assume NOT a joint venture with nasi lemak antarabangsa :D
