This cozy neighborhood bakery tempts customers with the promise of Swiss-style pastries and bread baked daily. Alas, none of its offerings prompted us to yodel their praises.

A potential picnic basket comprising a mini custard strudel, a vanilla chocolate twist & a crescent gipfel (butter croissant). Reasonably priced and fairly fresh, but the selection looked and tasted run-of-the-mill. Or maybe we were there too late in the evening.

Bread Basket,
The Sphere, Bangsar South.
Pfftttt...The bread Queen aka Rebecca Saw disapproves.
ReplyDeleteOh wait.. we haven't tried the breads. ah well..it still un-promising ;p
tng: i will bow to the bread queen's opinions! :D i guess this place is ok if u're in the area, and u just want some decent pastries. on the other hand, i'm too not sure where to get the best bread in the PJ/midvalley region...
ReplyDeleteLoving the new look, très fresh!! I still maintain great faith in the potential of the Sphere though! Definitely a space to watch out!
ReplyDeleteHave yet to visit any of the eateries here. It's a pity that a bread shop doesn't live up to it's name. It's not like they can fall back on anything else.
ReplyDeleteMin: thanks! So far the feedback for the layout has been unanimously positive! Now I just need to figure out how to put the nuffnang ad back in! I like the sphere too, for its location n tons of parking, but I'm still waiting for a really, really good eatery to open here!
ReplyDeleteLemongrass: once u get to midvalley, the sphere is only 10 mins away! It's probably worth checking out if u want a change of scenery, but there's not much here that's worth returning to over and over again...
hey shiny new template! very nice and I like this.
ReplyDeleteEiling: thanks! I'm lovin' it too! :D
ReplyDeleteWait, they have Bread Talk, Bread Story and now Bread Basket? Oh how very creative of them. :P
ReplyDeleteLfb: when I open my bakery, I'll call it Our Daily Bread :D
