Messrs Barley, Malt & Hops @ Hock Choon, Ampang

A calm, friendly retreat for craft beer fans, a couple of kilometres from the city centre. Kick back, pop a few (perhaps Mikkeller's Peter, Pale & Mary pale ale or Brewers Reserve Barley Wine, aged in Bourbon barrels) & order some tacos over from Messrs' neighbour, La Mexicana, to enjoy with your brewskies.

Messrs Barley, Malt & Hops
Hyde @ Hock Choon (formerly Terrace), Off Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Daily, 12pm-10pm. Tel: 03-4251-0922

  1. Geez, this brings back a lot of memories for me. Not that I've visited the restaurants located behind Hock Choon. It's more of visiting the supermarket whenever I'm heading to the Ampang Yong Tau Foo or in the city itself. =)

    1. Ciana: that hock choon supermarket is certainly an institution for a lot of people ... personally, i've never patronised it before though, but i don't do much grocery shopping! :)
