Sno @ Pavilion

Momentum is mounting for Malaysia's Milkshake Revolution, with a brave new breed of beverage-makers rising to break the stranglehold of subpar shakes.

Sno is stirring things up at Pavilion, with its enthusiastically friendly team urging shoppers to "shake it your way" with customized milkshakes, blended with a sweeping selection of candy & chocolate (everything from Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to Mars bars).

We played it safe on our Sno patrol and sampled their recommended combos. This SnoSignature _ comprising vanilla ice cream mixed with Nutella & Ferrero Rocher and topped with Cadbury flakes _ was close to perfection. Creamy and chocolatey but not cloying; refreshingly chilled without being bogged by frost.

Counting calories? Yogurt-based smoothies are available, including a "SnoBerry" that features froyo with strawberries, honey & Kellogg's Frosties. Better than most breakfast cereal mixes.

We could put it this way: it's the flavor of freedom, finally, following decades of dessert oppression by the purveyors of artificial-tasting shakes with one-dimensional textures. Free at last, thank God Almighty, we are free at last!

Our next request: alcohol-laced shakes, please!

Sno,
Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur.

  5. tng: heheh, was plagiarizing martin luther king jr's speech ... ohh, if i recall right, the prices for the medium-sized shakes are slightly less than RM10, and the large ones are about RM12. it's at the food court basement level, near the serai satay bar...
babe_kl: ya, enjoy a hearty, nutritious salad and some red duck curry at ben's, then head downstairs to end your meal on a sweet note with the milkshakes here! :D

  6. when i visited, the ... guy at the counter (owner)? mentioned he had a FB page - did you happen to get it? I can't find it at all on FB search or google search.

concept is awesome but they need work on their straw/cup. the one i tried had small marshmallows in it, but with normal sized straw couldn't suck it up, was so annoying ;[

  11. timing: oh yeah, it's this one: http://www.facebook.com/SnoShakes ... i think they also offer one of those straws with one end shaped as a scoop? yeah, we needed that to scrape up the kelloggs too :D
tng: yep, costlier than mcd's shakes, but much more satisfying! =)
j: heheh, i'm already trying to decide what shakes to have in future. maybe mixed with reese's and topped with marshmallows :D
min: oooh, what you COULD do is buy a mars bar separately from elsewhere, and munch on it while drinking the milkshake! i'd like to do that =)
lemonadelime: ohhh, we were here on a weekday evening, around 8pm, but it was fine. no queue at all, phew! :D
