Kingstreet Cafe & Kedai Sebelah

For carb-packed cheat days, Kingstreet Cafe's main attractions might be its nutty Moroccan-inspired rice, tossed with cashews, parsley, garlic & lime, served with grilled chicken (RM18), & sweet corn on the cob, blanketed with soft parmesan shavings (RM11), both ideally partnered with a bottle of white. A place that's easy to like, with fairly interesting & tasty fare.

Kingstreet Cafe @ Seputeh
621 Jalan 2/87G Taman Seputeh, Kuala Lumpur. Wed-Mon, 1030am-930pm. Tel: 03-2276-2869

Charmingly eclectic trappings & a casually upbeat vibe make this an inviting hangout for a fuss-free meal of fried rice & coffee.

  1. God save the queen, indeed. LOL!!! I like the name - Kedai Sebelah. Would be good to open a place right next to it and when people keep going next door and not to this one, that would be hilarious.

    1. Suituapui: haha, yeah, i love that plate beside the wines - a queenly plate in a kingly cafe :D heh, kedai sebelah is actually next to an art gallery named kedai! :D

  2. That Moroccan rice and grilled chicken sure looks good. I have been having way too many cheat days. Need to cut back on my carbs :(

    1. Phong Hong: i can empathise ... everyday has become a cheat day for me, unfortunately! :D

  3. Can I just have the grilled chicken without the rice? Less carb that way, hehehe.

    1. CK: haha, if you make the request, i'm sure this friendly cafe will say can :D

  4. OH nice.. I love the interior and outdoor of Kingstreet! Looks comfy for a few hours of work :D

    1. Rebecca: yeah, kingstreet is really spacious ... you can choose a corner and definitely get some work done in peace ;)
