Tokyo Street Snacks

Snacking on the streets of Tokyo: Grilled scallops blanketed with sea urchin, skewers of unagi & eel liver, raw oysters, & whale-flavoured ice cream at the Tsukiji seafood market ...

... plus purchases of egg & salmon roe onigiri from Family Mart & croquants filled with custard cream made of Hokkaido milk at Chou Zakuzaku.

  1. Uni, unagi, scallops and oysters are considered street food in Tokyo. But here it's considered premium food at premium prices...haiz! :( So, did you taste the whale in the whale-flavoured ice cream? ;)

    1. Contact.ewew: it'd be nice to see uni being served in local markets :) tasted some sort of ocean-y flavour - but it was more of dried whale power sprinkled on the ice cream, i think, which doesn't really taste of whale meat :)
