WOP Coffee & Bread @ Kota Damansara

Any cafe that has 'Ethiopian chicken' on its menu could be worth investigating: WOP Coffee's version isn't exactly Doro Wat but more of a fusion creation, featuring a chicken chop doused in an interesting gravy that's rich, tangy & spicy all at once (RM16.90). The team here says its bread is baked in-house - for fans of Malaysian street burgers, the WOP Burger conveys a similar sloppiness, packed with a thick beef patty, fried duck egg, pineapple ring & creamy sauce on a honey oat bun (RM23.90); admirers of doughy pastries can check out WOP's beignets, oozing with melt-in-the-mouth matcha filling (RM5.50).

    1. Twilight Man: yeah, there was lots of gravy poured over the chicken, but luckily it tasted good - it didn't overpower the chicken :)

  5. Ah, Doro Wat! I saw the recipe somewhere and I should cook this at home and see what it's like. If the beignets had pandan filling, I would go for it :)
