Wine Banque, Georgetown Wines & Uptown Bar

This friendly wine bar beckons customers to linger over a competent four-cheese pizza, fried seafood beehoon, Bombay chicken & a bottle of Rioja. A couple of bonuses: The kitchen opens at 3pm (relatively early for a watering hole of this sort), & intimate private rooms are available.

Wine Banque
72G, Jalan SS21/62, Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya. Mon-Sat, 3am-1am. Tel: 03-7731-3156

Two more watering holes for the road: Farther afield, Georgetown Wines is an elegant spot on the island of Penang ...

... & Jumeirah Beach Hotel's Uptown Bar boasts a 24th-floor view of Dubai to pair with chilli-choc & strawberry-balsamic cocktails.

  1. Chicken and bihun look good, the pizza too. The first place gets my vote, I don't drink anymore...and it looks like a cosier place too.

  3. But everytime I passed by this place, it was almost empty. I wonder how their business is doing. Is the wine selection good?

    1. Leo: yeah, it's quite quiet - I wonder if they rely mainly on retail sales and private gatherings. The wine selection is pretty adequate - can definitely find something that you'd like ;)
