The Cheesecake Factory @ Mall of the Emirates, Dubai

The Cheesecake Factory capitalises on a dramatic backdrop that few other restaurants can offer - a 22,500-square-metre indoor ski resort with mountain slopes for sled runs that's a veritable winter wonderland inside Dubai's Mall Of The Emirates.

Come for the photo opportunities, stay for the food - this Middle Eastern outpost of the U.S. restaurant chain serves hearty, well-prepared fare. spread across a far-reaching menu with too many dishes to count. Fish tacos, farro salads & fried zucchini-&-avocado chips are delicious stand-outs, though you'll also find everything from pastas, seafood & steaks to kale salads, Cuban rolls & meatloaf with succotash. We'd love to see The Cheesecake Factory in KL but it won't happen any time soon.

The Cheesecake Factory totally delivers on its name - you'll find no fewer than 30 cheesecakes here in elaborate preparations; we like the one ingeniously swirled together with a carrot cake, as well as another with house-made marshmallows & crackers. The key lime cheesecake is excellent too, expertly tuned in both taste & texture.

  1. Oh? Food looks great! Seeing the name, I would not have entered though - I'm off cheesecakes for good. Had way too much when they first made the scene here - not quite as trendy as now then, an overkill, so I would not mind if I never get to eat a slice ever again. No prize for guessing what nickname my students called me then. Tsk! Tsk! :D

    1. Suituapui: i'm usually not a major fan of cheesecakes, but the ones here are really well-done ... they almost redefine what cheesecakes can be :)

  2. We have a cheesecake factory in Australia - it only sells cheesecake though. I was surprised to see those other dishes.

  4. Oh my gosh... cheesecake! <3

Judging from the name, I thought it was related to the Australian one, but after reading your post, I think only the names are similar.

  5. Always associate this place with long queues at lunch at dinner anywhere in the US . The key lime cheesecake and the coconut cheesecake are awesome. Shame they wont make it to our neck of the woods

    1. BBW Fan: i wish i had tried the coconut cheesecake - it was pretty difficult to narrow down our cheesecake choices to just three! but yeah, this would've been a very cool addition to kl :)
