Do have a cow, man; seeking green pastures at Changkat Bukit Bintang, this steak specialist basks in the beauty of all things bovine.
Take this by the tongue & it'll show you, it's got the moos like Jagger: beef carpaccio with rocket salad, feta-stuffed olives, parmesan & balsamic dressing.
From Australia: Ralph's Meat Company rib-eye with sauteed zucchini & mushroom sauce. Can we call this a beefcake? 'Cause it sure looks dreamy.
From Argentina: grass-fed Patagonian aged tenderloin with asparagus & blue cheese sauce. There's eroticism in grilled meat, especially succulent, medium-rare slabs.
Frontera Merlot. Enough booze here to drink until the cows come home.
Santa Cristina Toscana.
Pina Colada & White Russian Daiquiris.
Customers who have a beef with beef can order duck, cod fish, prawns, etc.
Housekeeping notes: Carne Y Vino is the recently launched sister outlet of Pampas, also at Changkat. With music that gets raucous after 11pm, this place has more of a club-lounge feel compared to Pampas' casual setting.

Did I hear this correctly?... beef with sauteed zucchini & mushroom sauce...I m so going here :D
ReplyDeleteulric: hope you enjoy it! there's also new zealand t-bone steak with asparagus & chimichurri sauce =)
ReplyDeleteOoo...sounds good...wat r d prices like?...
ReplyDelete"Moos" like Jagger?? Nice! hahaha. Looks like Changkat is getting a breath of fresh air. Seems like Racks is the better place to try first though. What you think?
ReplyDeleteAdam
Oh Changkat getting new joints again!
ReplyDeleteThe other day whn I was at Racks' I noticed too the difference - new outlets and it makes me wonder how the old survive - El Cerdo, Yoko's etc
Where is this radius hotel? How come i haven't heard it before?!
ReplyDeleteTake this by the tongue? Oh dear. Have you been fraternising with some strange cows again? :P
ReplyDeleteall this is making me crave for some steak, the roast lamb we had yesterday wont do!
ReplyDeletethe beef carpaccio looks mighty promising
ReplyDeleteMoos like Jagger... Haha made me chuckle for sure. Steaks here look very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteWaaa....I want that ribeye!!
ReplyDeleteLook at the rib eye! Really like a cake! SOOOO good! :)
ReplyDeleteUlric: prices were not too exorbitant. everything above totaled about RM300, including the booze =)
ReplyDeleteAdam: oh yeah, Racks is definitely better in terms of food, prices & ambiance. i'd only recommend Carne Y Vino if you're already in this neighborhood & you want some steak :D
TNG: yeah, but i think most of the newer outlets cater to the drinking crowd. so the older places that specialize in food, like El Cerdo, should still do OK. and the street is always packed :D
ReplyDeleteMichelle: heheh, it's not a prominent hotel. and it's located way down at the end of changkat bukit bintang =)
Kenny: cows?!? are you casting aspersions on the countenance of my dates?!? heheh :P
ReplyDeleteJoe: oh yeah, nine out of 10 times, i'd choose a good slab of beef over a slab of lamb! :D
KY: and the carpaccio comes with these interesting olives filled with feta cheese! very yummy =)
Baby sumo: heheh, i do think that at some points of the song, adam levine seems to be singing "mooooo-ooo-oooo" instead of moves :D
ReplyDeleteBangsar-babe: oooh, actually, the tenderloin turned out to be more enjoyable than the ribeye! =)
Iamthewitch: heheh, now i'm thinking about real cakes and wondering where i should head for some tasty desserts today :D
good to see new joints in Changkat:D
ReplyDeletebeef carpaccio & rib eye! i am coming to eat you when my tummy settles down. meanwhile, ill just have to look at these lovely pics and imagine them in my mouth. *salivate*
missyblurkit: yeah, changkat is one of those places where you're guaranteed to see an average of one new outlet open every month :D heheh, i hope you feel better really soon =)
