Duck Ye Ye @ Taman Desa

Friendly Ipoh-born stall-keeper Mun Yew offers roast duck prepared to a family recipe; the result is satisfyingly meaty and sufficiently tender, with a light, clean flavour. Half a duck costs RM29, while a full fowl is RM55; tables are available for customers to eat beside the Duck Ye Ye truck in Taman Desa, most often sighted on Jalan Desa Utama near Public Bank.

Duck Ye Ye: Ipoh Gunung Rapat Famous Roasted Duck
Jalan Desa Utama, Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur. Typically open daily, 12pm-7pm, but call 012-371-9313 to check.

I'd love that duck, minus the sauce. Not fond of them pouring all kinds of sauces over roast meat - will keep reminding them not to do that as I would like to enjoy the taste of the meat, not the sauce.

    1. Suituapui: agreed - duck is delicious enough to enjoy on its own, from the crisp skin to the succulent flesh ;)

  2. I saw the banner written "Ipoh Famous Traditional salty duck", I wonder does it tasted any different with the usual roasted duck.

    1. Choi Yen: it tastes quite similar to regular roast duck, i think - am not sure how to explain the difference :)
