Kas Curry House @ Sungai Way, Petaling Jaya

Add Kas Curry House to the Klang Valley's shortlist of worthwhile banana leaf rice restaurants: With founder Kasturitharan's mom cooking in the kitchen & his father manning the counter, you may feel like you've been invited for lunch at the family's home. Kas' forte is not only its friendliness but the freshness of its fare: Chicken & fish reach your table fried to order, vegetables convey a straight-from-the-market juiciness, while curries channel made-with-care flavours. A satisfactory, no-fuss vegetarian serving of banana leaf rice costs RM5.90, while meat (mutton varuval & more) clocks in at RM5-RM6 per portion.

  4. I used to service the developer's office in that building and never noticed there is a curry house there. I will pay attention next week.
