The Big Cheese @ Da:Men Subang & Toast Grilled Cheese Sandwiches @ Kota Kemuning

The Big Cheese aims to be the toast of Subang, specialising in an array of grilled cheese sandwiches - you can choose from 'Just Cheese' to other varieties bolstered with, say, Marmite, chili con carne, ham, bacon, tomato & basil, or onions & leek, paired with a side order such as nachos or mac & cheese, plus a beverage, for a total of between RM16 & RM19. Satisfyingly stretchy in its cheesiness, flavoursome in its proportions, served in bread with a warm, fresh crunch. A good, guilty indulgence, especially appropriate this week, with the U.S. celebrating National Grilled Cheese Day.

With a name like Toast Grilled Cheese Sandwich, the raison d'etre for this cafe couldn't be clearer - expect skillet-cooked melted cheese sandwiches of sourdough bread with customisable accompaniments like pork bacon & Granny Smith apples, scrambled eggs & honey, or peanut butter & bananas, starting from RM9.90 each, conveying a homey, comforting taste.
