The Greenies Salad Jars

Grab-&-go salads, prepared fresh daily with locally grown vegetables, layered in sealed mason jars: You can now find The Greenies at vending machines in a handful of locations across the Klang Valley, offering tasty & balanced nutrition on the go.

The Greenies features no fewer than eight types of nourishing salads; we tried two - Mortar Pestle Pesto, a 500-gramme, 700-calorie ensemble of fusilli, Parmesan, roasted chcken, oven-dried tomatoes, kitchen-made pesto & extra virgin olive oil (RM13), & the Nice-oise, with 300 calories' worth of fresh tuna with Kalamata olives, baby radish, cherry tomatoes, eggs, kyuri & vinaigrette (RM12). Pretty promising fare - crisp textures & perky flavours, proficiently executed to put a spring to your step. Best consumed chilled but capable of lasting five days, these function conveniently for a light lunch or reinvigorating snack.

Thanks to The Greenies team for these salads, currently available at PJ21 Body Factory Gym & Fitness Centre, Encorp Strand Mall, Ikon Cheras & PJ Trade Centre, with more locations expected soon. Contact The Greenies at 012-223-1247

  2. Great idea. Can easily grab one and eat on the go. I hope everyone keeps the lovely jars though, and not just throw them away after eating what's inside.

  4. Did you say from a vending machine? Is the vinaigrette packed separately? And how do we ensure that we do not get a jar that's been in the vending machine for days...they remove all unsold salad jars on a daily basis?

    1. Contact.ewew: the vinaigrette is packed together but it's layered in a way that it's not mixed with the other ingredients - so you have to shake the jar before consuming :) i guess when you check out the vending machines, you'll be able to read more about the jars, but each jar does have an expiry date if i recall right :)

  5. I like the idea, though, but I unfortunately prefer it to be freshly made (or at least made in the morning).

  6. Bought back 3 from Friday and had it on saturday last night as a sampler for a friend's party. We had the Superfood (quinoa & broad beans ) , the Sayur a Provence ( a ratatouille ) & The truffle mushrooms with barley. Tasted absolutely fresh!
