Chateau Du Pain, Crispy Crust & After Black @ Bandar Sunway

Cream cheese puffs are this bakery-cafe's main novelty, in choices of flavour that include chocolate cream cheese, strawberry cream cheese, coffee cream cheese, orange cream cheese or kiwi fruit cream cheese - the cream cheese is scooped into each pastry cone on order, providing for a fast & convenient snack (RM5.50 each). Whether you'll return for more might be contingent on how much you really like cream cheese.

Chateau Du Pain
Lot 17 Jalan PJS 11/9, Bandar Sunway, Selangor. Daily, 9am-11pm.

When we visited Crispy Crust some time back, it was still at its original location in Bandar Sunway (it has since moved to Subang's Main Place mall). The cafe lived up to its name, specialising in fried chicken chops that could be customised with a variety of extras, such as spaghetti, French fries, pan-fried egg, beef bacon, chicken sausages & pineapple rings.

Crispy Crust
Formerly at Bandar Sunway. Now at Main Place USJ Subang Jaya.

After Black has become a haunt for Bandar Sunway's college-goers, dishing out hot comfort food like baked eggs with broccoli, carrots & mint tomato sauce; cheese-baked squid ink rice; & a beef patty with sweet-&-sour pomelo barbecue sauce.

After Black
23, Jalan PJS 11/9, Bandar Sunway, Selangor.

  1. Sunway area especially PJS 11 where all college students and car enthusiasts love to go is best visited on weekends especially Sunday to avoid the jam...

    1. Leo: heh, yeah, i hate trying to park in this part of sunway ... even taking uber here is a bit tricky sometimes due to the slow-moving cars in this neighbourhood, heh :)

  2. An interesting trio of offerings. Seems we'll never run out of things to explore in this city.

    1. The Yum List: i do hope we'll never run out indeed! :)
