SEVEN Bar & Lounge, The RuMa Hotel & Residences

By EDKL Writer A.A.

SEVEN's bar snacks are one or two notches above the norm - Nyonya pai tee comes packed with yellowtail tuna, sriracha, sesame seeds and spring onions (RM32), while chicken wings are stuffed with biryani-spiced mince for a persuasive punch of Malaysian flavours (RM32). Even the gin-and-tonics showcase intriguing local elements, ranging from pandan leaves and smoked coconut to laksa leaves and wild highland peppers (RM45-RM70 per cocktail).

SEVEN Lobby Bar and Lounge
The RuMa Hotel & Residences, Jalan Kia Peng, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.
Daily, 10am-1am (last call at 1230am). Hotel Tel: 03-2778-0888

  2. The pai tee filling is very different from the norm. In fact I haven't had it in years and can't quite remember what goes into it but definitely not tuna and sriracha :)

    1. Phong Hong: yeah, usually the only seafood we'd find in it is fried chopped shrimp :)

  3. Thank god the pai tee is filled with yellowtail tuna, and not the cheaper version with sengkuang and carrots, otherwise that would be one expensive pai tee! >.<

    1. Contact.ewew: that's true - at RM32 for five pieces, regular tuna wouldn't do! :)
