The Food Yard @ Ampang

A collective of food trucks, converging in their own haven in the city centre, with hardworking crews that entice hungry office workers throughout the day with a satisfactory range of crowd-pleasers - everything from Malaysian pan mee with chicken & egg to Thai tom yum noodle soup, nasi kukus ayam rempah to roti kebab; each pleasantly executed dish costs RM10 or less.

Our favourites are the desserts & drinks, specifically the very refreshing organic chilled bean curd (soft & smooth, with a gentle, natural-tasting flavour) & the juices prepared to order (try a textured mix of yacon & oranges, or pomegranates, purple carrots & apples, or passion fruit & aloe vera).

The Food Yard
Wisma MCA, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm. Free delivery within KLCC area. Tel: 016-279-9230

  1. Wow. so it's actually a "proper" truck-hawker centre?
with tables and chairs and long operating hours!
We hv something like that in TTDI but at night only at RHB Bank. Not entirely legal but it draws the crowd with about 4-5 trucks operating simultaneously.
But this bunch's operating days are a bit unorthodox.

    1. Rebecca: ya, i've seen some 'gathering points' for food trucks, but mostly at residential areas, like in taman melawati, where there are also tables & chairs - i assume they also have some sort of authorisation ... the one here definitely caters to the klcc-district office crowd! :)
