Dawno Temu Na Kazimierzu Jewish Restaurant @ Krakow, Poland

Krakow's historical former Jewish quarter hides this beautiful weathered restaurant where live Yiddish music rings out in the evening to accompany traditional Jewish meals of gefilte fish (minced carp in delicate jelly), cholent (a brilliant stew of beef, beans, potatoes, vegetables & groats), & the renowned Jerusalem mixed grill (with chicken breast, liver & hearts). End your dinner with Eastern Orthodox pascha cheese cake, complemented by Israeli wines (try the Ben Ami Merlot) & Polish mead.

Dawno Temu Na Kazimierzu, Krakow, Poland.

  1. This is so traditional, right down to the live music. That is how one can really experience a place one visits - go down to the roots...unlike some I've seen, come all the way to Malaysia and eat at McD or KFC.

    1. Suituapui: this was definitely a fascinating restaurant - especially since we don't have any restaurants for jewish cuisine in malaysia. the food is absolutely delicious ;)
