The Embassy Cafe @ The Starling Mall

The Starling's latest envoy for cuisine from East & West succeeds in negotiating a diplomatic detente of something for everybody on one menu: The chilli-loaded Nasi Istimewa (RM28) wages a fiery war on the Asian palate, with fried rice backed by a formidable alliance of anchovy & tempeh sambal, kampung-loving ayam pindang, kobis goreng, kerabu mangga, papadum & telur mata kerbau, while the Madame Secretary burger (RM35) might win the vote of Western fare partisans, bulked up with buttermilk-fried chicken, onion rings, Swiss cheese, a sunny-side-up & honey mustard mayo. Flat whites prepared with almond milk & speciality teas like Malabar Chai are available, but what you'll soon be seeing most of The Embassy on social media should be the very pretty nature-themed murals of palm trees, an antlered buck & owl on the walls.
