Meseta Coffee Malaysia

Enjoying a good espresso at home might be easier than ever, if you have a Meseta coffee machine & biodegradable coffee capsules: Proudly produced in Italy with technology that's been refined through the years, the Meseta range is now available in Malaysia, offering home consumers assurances of both convenience & quality.

We had the opportunity to check out Meseta's line recently: The flagship Attimo coffee machine, completely Italian-made & sold in a signature blue hue, is a visually attractive addition to the home. It feels sturdy but remains essentially transportable, available for purchase at a current promotional price of RM799, which includes two complimentary boxes containing a total of 32 coffee capsules. The coffee can be personally delivered by the Meseta team to your doorstep within the Klang Valley.

Using the machine is a breeze, with its pro-infusion system & auto-capsule eject mechanism. Simply insert the coffee capsule, push a button, & within a minute, your caffeine fix can be satisfied.  The environment-friendly capsules are individually sealed in air-tight foil wrappings, ensuring their flavours & fragrance stay intact - customers can choose from capsule blends like the 100% Arabica (relatively fruity & floral), Espresso (a pure, smooth variant that pays homage to Italy's traditional coffee culture), Intenso (bold & full-bodied) & Decaffeinato (specially roasted decaffeinated coffee).

We like how the machine & capsules can yield the full variety of espresso-based coffee available in cafes - make your own Caffe Americano, or even a latte (Meseta also offers a Cremaccino milk frother separately for RM190). If you have a scoop of ice cream, it'll only take seconds to whip up an affogato. The machines & capsules remove the guesswork out of coffee-brewing, so each cup is consistent in its results. Capsules are also available via delivery, so you'll never run out; a box of 16 capsules is RM39, while a carton of 100 capsules is RM250. Ordering instructions are at www.mesetacoffee.com.my/faq/

For customers who currently own Nespresso machines & want to try Meseta's coffee capsules, Nespresso-compatible capsule blends are also available, with beans sourced from Brazil & other plantations across Africa & Asia - one recommendation might be the Arabica Fairtrade blend from Peru, Mexico & Bolivia. Our thanks to Meseta Coffee Malaysia for having us over.

  2. Wait...so it's cheaper to buy a box of 16 capsules rather than a carton? Heh.

    1. Yaz: sharp calculation! I think it has something to do with how each capsule is packaged in a smaller box vs the carton ;)
