3 Idiots Cafe @ Plaza Mont Kiara

Contrary to the name, no idiots were involved in the making of this new cafe - a quirky little space with oodles of character (check out the fun furnishing personally crafted by venue founders Kevin, CK & Cheryl) & a menu full of sharp-witted touches.

Recommendations for an all-day breakfast include the poached egg on toast, a light snack made notably textured with a soft, comforting cushion of kitchen-baked mixed beans (RM11.90), as well as the 'Healthy Fart,' featuring 3 Idiots' house granola, packed with seeds & nuts, smeared with honey & yoghurt, plus a side of milk (RM11.90).

For lunch, a battle of beef seems to be brewing: Victory belongs to the beef noodle soup, a hearty bowl of flat noodles blanketed with tender meat, fresh vegetables & chillies in an encouragingly flavoursome broth (RM10.90). The pulled beef baguette (RM14.90) isn't bad, but it won't leave a lingering impression. Don't skip the coffee though - a flat white clocks in at a slightly lower-than-the-norm RM8.90; it's also worth noting that some items here come served on artistically cool tableware.

  1. Wasn't there a movie by this same name? I'm afraid nothing gets me quite excited and what a name to give - healthy fart. Like one Japanese place here that named one sushi item kanasai, like shit...as it looked like it. Thank you very much.

  6. I hope they have a proper paper menu instead of the blackboard because I really not fond of standing in front of people's table deciding what to order =.="
