Iggo @ Shah Alam

Risotto buffs might like Iggo, which serves a trio of creamy rice recipes, including with tender shredded lamb shank topped with asparagus (RM19.90+) & flavoursome Cajun-spiced prawns & spinach (RM17.90+) - piping-hot comfort fare at lower prices than what KL's hotspots charge. Portions are satisfying - we were tempted to also try the truffle-scented crispy mushroom risotto (RM18.90), but that would tip us into a carb coma. Other possible highlights range from roasted pumpkin salad (RM13.90) to linguine with beef ragout (RM18.90) & spaghetti aglio olio with smoked duck & poached egg (RM15.90).

  6. Now that's a first for KL... a spot specialising in risotto. I wonder if they're brave enough to offer a brown rice version. ;-)

    1. The Yum List: they only have three types of risotto so far on the menu, but i hope they'll expand that selection - it would be interesting to see how many they can come up with! and brown rice sounds like a very nice idea :)
