Acropolis Museum Restaurant @ Athens, Greece

The Acropolis Museum is a captivating archaeological museum, its corridors teeming with thousands of artefacts. It also boasts a surprisingly impressive restaurant with an alfresco section where visitors can savour a meal with a memorable view, right in the shadow of the rocky outcrop that houses Athens' famed citadel.

The food is intriguing, drawing ingredients & inspiration from multiple corners of Greece - lentils from Prespes, fresh bottarga of grey mullet from Etoliko, shrimp from Alexandroupoli & trachanas from Arachova partnered with Greek-produced prosciutto. Enjoy with herbal tea laced with red saffron from Kozani & various liquors from Santorini.

  1. Greece?? When were you there? In one helluva financial turmoil at the moment. Never tried Greek, just some of their desserts when I was in Auckland, very very sweet.

    1. Suituapui: ooo, this was a bit back, but ya, some greek and turkish desserts can be quite sugary, but i figure that's what the greeks are used to having after a savoury lunch/dinner :D

    2. I love Greek food, Sean! I don't like the desserts, but I love the Feta cheese and their salads, the souvlaki, and their lamb is the absolute best! It is cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice that makes it delicious, flavourful, juicy and tender. :)
