Cielo Dolci Gelato @ Paradigm Mall

We're swooning over Cielo Dolci, Paradigm Mall's purveyors of insanely creamy gelato that ranks among the Klang Valley's most heavenly.

Made in small batches daily by Italian-trained Malaysian gelato-lovers passionate about their craft, the magical flavors here include salted caramel with "fairy dust," green tea with azuki beans, coconut with gula melaka, Earl Grey, Belgian chocolate, peanut butter and pistachio.

Five scoops cost below RM30; the packed-to-bursting cup seems large enough for two to share, but we still devoured every dense, super-smooth spoonful, like starving cats savoring their milk.

Cielo Dolci's Facebook profile asserts: "We create our bases, prepare the fruits, melt the chocolate, infuse the herbs, grind the spices, roast the nuts and fine-tune the flavors ourselves." Their hard work is in full evidence, producing delicious results.

Wouldn't it be cool if gelato fever engulfs KL? Hell wouldn't freeze over before that happens.

Cielo Dolci,
LG 50, Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya.

    1. Vien: that sounds like a really tempting flavor! i used to be a major fan of the smucker's goober peanut butter & jelly (though admittedly, i liked the jelly more than the peanut butter!). gula melaka works well too, as an ice cream flavor :D ooh, i can help you start counting down the weeks, and then the days, and finally the hours, till your homecoming! =)

    1. Fish: it's really good gelato, definitely worth the extra ringgit, i think. heh, there are still many more eateries at paradigm to explore, so i think i'll have to return at least three or four more times this year :D

    1. Missyblurkit: best gelato i've had this year! :D heh, yeah, the seats have that nice denim-jeans kinda patchwork sewed on to them. more cushy and comfortable than regular stools, even though there's no backrest :D

  8. Starving cats savouring their (very expensive) milk? The peanut butter flavour was the best, so was the chocolate, pistachio, salted caramel ...
