Aoyama @ Desa Sri Hartamas

One of the best Japanese outlets in Desa Sri Hartamas, though I think it was better a few years ago.

Ninki tai (thin sliced white fish with foie gras). This proves that sashimi and foie gras can be a match made in heaven after all.

Bakkuri maki (white fish, tuna and salmon roll). There's a wide assortment of rolls here, most of which are worth trying.

Flat fish sashimi. Not bad, but we couldn't really appreciate its subtle taste.

  2. ooh, haven't been to this place for years. Kind of like the Rakuzen of those days. Good to know it's still there although we never had any of the dishes you ate!

  3. carolyn: eat ikan bilis for six days and sashimi on the seventh!
lil: it still seems to be popular, but let's hope it survives the current downturn!
