Desa Sri Hartamas' new Copaa serves a satisfying dinner of contemporary Asian-inflected cooking.

The Wild Green Salad channels a confident kerabu pakis, featuring fresh ferns tossed with coconut flakes, mandarin orange and bunga kantan vinaigrette for a lively, lovely ensemble (RM22), while the Cold Ramen stirs up the soulful simplicity of noodles in five-hour-boiled chicken broth, served chilled with ikura and scallions (RM32) and the Aubergine Miso comprises the chunkiest of eggplant, baked with cili padi miso and furikake (RM25).

Some potential highlights were unavailable when we visited - the Borneo umai-inspired river prawn and ulam pesto heirloom tomatoes sound invigorating - but thankfully, even a second-choice substitute like grilled squid with chimichurri, cilantro and lime (RM38) proves enjoyable, thanks to solid produce and skilled preparation. Service is warm and welcoming.
