Momos, Nepal

Momos are monumentally popular throughout Nepal's restaurants, but the ideal place to seek them might be on the street, where stalls in hidden alleyways and courtyards conceal steaming-hot dumplings typically stuffed with minced buffalo, chicken or vegetables, served in sal leaf bowls.

  2. The momos is served with chili sauce? Any special for that leaf bowl? Like our lotus leaf which can give extra fragrance to the food?

    1. Choi Yen: it's served with a savoury, lightly tangy gravy here - i don't think the leaf provides any fragrance, but it's a strong material that's suitable to make disposable bowls, heheh :)
