Jim Thompson Tea Room @ Cameron Highlands Resort

All is calm, all is bright at Cameron Highlands Resort's Jim Thompson Tea Room.

Wholesome, well-prepared lunches here might comprise this wasabi-shoyu prawn salad ...

... pan-seared sea bass with Cajun spices & roast potatoes ...

... grilled boneless chicken thigh with sauteed summer veggies ...

... & cream of Cameron Highlands cauliflower.

Strawberries are strewn all over desserts such as this kahlua-caramel tiramisu ...

... & served to shine on their own with chocolate & vanilla sauces.

As afternoon nudges into the evening, the teatime spread is made available.

Warm, fresh-tasting scones with house-made strawberry jam & "Devon" clotted cream ...

... plus savory sandwiches stuffed with the likes of tuna, smoked salmon, egg, watercress, cream cheese & cucumber ...

... & sufficient sweet treats to keep us on a sugar high through dinnertime.

The afternoon tea set clocks in at RM60++ for two persons, 3pm-6pm daily.

Of course, there's tea at this tea room, an abundance of aromatic varieties to choose from.

The Jim Thompson Tea Room is beside the Highlands Bar at Cameron Highlands Resort.

So a glass or two or three of wine is never too far away here.

Thanks a million to YTL's kind people for inviting us up & hosting this weekend stay.

    1. Sycookies: oh yeah, there's a special feeling that having tea in Cameron gives us. The weather up here doesn't seem to be as cool as it used to be a decade ago, but it's still an enjoyable experience =)

  5. RM60+ for that is reasonable! I hv Swich cafe 's high tea to benchmark against now.. Reasonably priced and yummy. So seeking similar high tea offerings!

    1. Wong: wow, four years! That must have been an interesting time, with a lot of good memories! But ya, most of the 'Cajun-style' dishes offered in Malaysia might not come close to the authentic intensity of flavors =)
