The Ceylon Bar

The Ceylon Bar experienced a much-needed facelift recently, refreshing the faded look of one of Changkat Bukit Bintang's earliest stars.

True to this establishment's name, several Sri Lankan-style recipes pepper the menu, including a nicely prepared fried rice platter with plenty of chicken, fish cakes, egg & prawn crackers. Customers craving a taste of South Asia can also order curries & kormas.

Other offerings include porky pub grub. Worth ordering: Scotch eggs that taste fresh & warm, with a soft coat of minced pork in breadcrumbs.

The house special burger is humongous, boasting a prime Aussie beef patty topped with pork bacon, egg, onions & chili con carne. Three animals _ cows, pigs & chickens _ were sacrificed for the sake of this monster. Excellent for exceptional appetites.

BBQ pork ribs. Savory succulence; you'll get your fingers soiled with sauce, but you'll like it.

No lack of cocktails here: Ceylon Island Iced Tea & Frozen Margarita.

Snowball (advocaat liquor, sprite) & Daiquiri.

Mojito & KGB (kahlua, galliano, baileys).
